Jack Lake is located near the town of Apsley and Chandos Lake. It is about 160 km northeast of Toronto. It has 2 full service Marinas.

Jack Lake as and irregular shape as it has numerous smaller bays and 3 main Bays. Sharpe Bay which is the largest is located at the west portion of the lake.

Inflow of water comes from Apsley Creek at the northwest and Redmond Creek at the north. The main outflow goes into Jack Creek which has a small dam at the south. Jack Creek does flow to Stony, Clear, Otontabee River, Rice Lake and the Trent River all the way to Lake Ontario. The dam at Jack Creek controls the water released into the Trent-Severn Waterway.

Jack Lake is 6.3 km (3.9 miles) long and at a maximum of 6.1 km (3.8 miles) wide. It reaches a depth of 126 ft in Sharpes Bay. There is plenty of crown land on Jack Lake making it a naturally beautiful lake.

Fish found in the lake include Bass, Trout, Muskellunge, Walleye, Rock Bass, Perch and Black Crappie.
