Belmont Lake

Belmont Lake is near Havelock Ontario and is part of the water system that feeds the Trent Severn Waterway Great Lakes Basin. There are 3 dams on Belmont – the main inbound dam is at the base of Cordova Lake. Another is between Belmont and Round Lake and the outbound dam is on the Crowe River west of County Rd 48

The water levels are managed by the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority.

Belmont Lake is approximately 7.5 km (4.67 miles) long and 3.1 km (1.93 miles) wide. The depth of the lake is up to 52 ft (15.85m) deep. There are approximately 50 islands on this lake with the largest being Big Island which is 1 km long and 375 m at it’s widest. There are approximately 45 cottages on Big Island.

Belmont is naturally beautiful with rocky shores and plenty of trees.

Fish species found are Muskie, Perch, Bass, Bluegill, Catfish and Pickerel.

Round Lake

Round Lake is located just north of Havelock and is indeed a round shape!

There is an active cottage lake association for cottage owners.

The water levels on this lake are also managed by the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority

Fish found in the lake include Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Brook Trout, Muskie and Walleye.

Round Lake does reach a depth of 32 ft (9.8 m).

Crowe Lake

Crowe lake is located North East of Havelock and 3.2 km (2 miles) northwest of Marmora.

It has a maximum depth of 16.4 m (54 ft) and the perimeter of the shoreline is 32 km (20 miles).

Fish species include Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch and Black Crappie.

There is one boat launch off of Blairton Rd.
